Kiepe Electric Schweiz AG is the competence centre for on-board converters in the Kiepe Electric Group. Moreover, Kiepe Electric Schweiz delivers traction equipment for Swiss customers in the public transport field. More than 30, mainly technical specialists work closely together at the Niederbuchsiten site in the sales, engineering, project management, service and manufacturing departments to ensure that all customer projects fulfil the high requirements for quality and reliability.

Kiepe Electric Schweiz, which was founded in 1998 under the name of APS electronic, has developed to a specialist in power electronics applications.

The company has excellent technical competence in the field of design and project planning of customer-specific solutions for electric mobility by bus and rail. To ensure that the know-how is always up-to-date, Kiepe Electric continuously trains and promotes the employees.

Whether railway vehicles, light rail vehicles/tramcars or electric buses: The traction equipment from Kiepe Electric ensures safe, efficient and comfortable public mobility. Kiepe Electric’s on-board converters ensure reliable power supply of HVAC systems, passenger information systems and socket-outlets at the driver’s workplace. The reliable technical support is highly appreciated by the rail vehicle and bus customers.

Tailor-made, innovative solutions and systems from Kiepe Electric have contributed significantly to successful public rail/road transport projects in Switzerland. Recent examples are systems for the world’s steepest rack railway, the Pilatus railway, as well as for the Montreux-Berner Oberland-Bahn and for trolleybuses for Geneva and Montreux.
