Being a system manufacturer, Kiepe Electric is the leading equipper of the popular trolleybuses and IMC buses in Italy and a reliable supplier of equipment for the Italian rail transport. Since 2001 Kiepe Electric Italy has been responsible for the customer contact and today the company is seated in Cernusco sul naviglio near Milan in brand new buildings. Sales and service specialists attend to new projects, the spare parts business for existing customers, project management and other services.

Kiepe Electric Italy cooperates closely with the other companies of the Knorr-Bremse Group in numerous projects, for example with Kiepe Electric Switzerland with its innovative traction inverters and Merak with its high-tech HVAC systems. Moreover, Kiepe Electric Italy cooperates closely with the colleagues from Knorr-Bremse Systems for Rail Vehicles Italy and Microelettrica.

The customers can always rely on Kiepe Electric Italy’s expertise as regards technology and law, for example in case of projects with new infrastructure for trolleybus lines. The high-power charging solution from Alstom and Kiepe Electric was presented live for the first time. The SRS static ground charging system from Alstom and the charging hardware and software from Kiepe Electric enable high-power charging with up to 800 kW and fast charging processes of less than 5 minutes. Mobility transition in Dortmund: Additional 8 light rail vehicles from Kiepe Electric and HeiterBlick

DSW21 has ordered an additional eight light rail vehicles from HeiterBlick and Kiepe Electric The Dortmund light rail project now includes 34 new vehicles and an identically modernized existing fleet of 64 vehicles Kiepe Electric supplies traction, APS, TCMS, electrical system and control technology and offers an extensive spare parts package for the operation of the LRV DSW21, Dortmund, has ordered eight additional light rail vehicles (LRV’s) from HeiterBlick, Leipzig, and Kiepe Electric, Düsseldorf, with planned delivery in 2025. The LRV’s will complement the fleet of 26 new vehicles already ordered, eight of which are already successfully delivered. As a system supplier, Kiepe Electric is responsible for the planning, delivery, assembly, and commissioning of the electrical equipment.
